Dallas Water Utilities
Dallas, TX

The distribution system of Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) is one of the largest in the United States. The major distribution system facilities include 28 pump stations, 11 ground storage reservoirs, 9 elevated tanks and 78 vault structures separate from the major facilities, in addition to over 4,600 miles of main piping.

KAI 360 Construction Services completed work at two of the three Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) water treatment plants. Elm Fork’s capacity is 310 million gallons per day (MGD), Bachman’s capacity is 150 MGD and both plants are surface water purification/treatment facilities. The two projects are components of a water quality improvement program with an estimated construction value of approximately $350 million.

KAI is supporting the work of the prime construction manager, which includes inspection of in-progress construction for design compliance, scheduled progress, quality assurance, integrated inspection services with Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) staff and other related construction management services.
