Position Summary
As a Senior Construction Manager working as the Owner’s Representative for major a design-build project, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing construction initiatives from construction inception to completion. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the construction process align with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Your leadership and expertise will be critical in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing resources efficiently, and maintaining a steadfast commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions
- Develop and implement comprehensive construction plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Owner, Design-Builder, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other team members for integration of all project components.
- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures.
- Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, including project managers, site supervisors, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment to ensure effective communication and coordination among team members.
- Provide guidance on technical matters and share industry best practices.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and project specifications.
- Stay abreast of relevant codes, regulations, and safety protocols, and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and control costs.
- Monitor and control project expenditures to maintain alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project delivery and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop contingency plans and crisis management protocols to address unforeseen circumstances effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager on design-build projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
