Position Summary
The Designer performs assignments to develop professional knowledge and abilities, applying standard techniques, procedures, and
criteria with limited exercise of judgement. This role involves working on portions of projects, solving engineering problems, and
preparing design drawings under direct supervision. The designer reports to the studio leader and contributes to the overall design team.

Essential Functions
- Perform routine design tasks and work on portions of projects.
- Use a computer for design and CAD applications proficiently.
- Prepare drawings originated by the designer or from sketches provided by others.
- Apply experience, judgement, and education to solve engineering problems.
- Seek assistance from more experienced team members when needed.
- Research design requirements and standards to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Work under direct supervision and collaborate with the design team to achieve project goals.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation as required.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Technical school degree in drafting, CAD, or engineering technology.
- 2+ years of drafting experience in civil engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to perform design functions with direct supervision.

- Proficiency in computer-aided designed (CAD) applications.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and design standards.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
