Hybrid Work Schedule
Full-time or part-time regular KAI employees in good standing will be allowed to work from home/remotely for part of the work week. The frequency and timing of when employees work from home will be based on the needs of the departments, the need for collaboration, and the need to maintain the integrity and quality of the projects being worked on by the employees.
Modified Work Week
When KAI business conditions permit, employees can opt for a modified work week, known as 4x9+4. This schedule involves working four days a week, with each day comprising 9 hours of work. On the fifth day, employees work an additional 4 hours to fulfill the standard 40-hour workweek.
Flexible PTO
KAI believes that employees should have opportunities to enjoy time away from work to help balance their lives and recognizes that employees have diverse needs for time away from work. Employees are encouraged to schedule sufficient time off for rest and relaxation to promote employee wellness, good health, and achievement of personal goals outside of work. An employee may use this time off for any purpose they choose, including vacations, unpaid holidays, illness, or time away from work for personal or family matters.
