Empowering the Community

KAI was contracted by Select Federal Credit Union to renovate and expand its existing facility located at 1914 Interstate 35 in San Antonio, Texas. Select Federal Credit Union was established in 1939 and currently services a membership of 7,000 at this location. This $1.5 million renovation project focused on expanding and improving the member services, while affording an opportunity for rebranding of the institution.

The renovated building design reflects the long standing history of the Credit Union, the financial security and significance of its member services and the character of the local community. The renovation totaled 5,000 SF in area and the addition totaled 2,200 SF.

The expanded branch embraces the community through a refreshing and rebranded image. The design of the expanded headquarters facility exhibits the good financial stewardship of the 76 year institution and its importance to the larger fabric of San Antonio, and specifically, the East Side’s resurgence as a major economic force in the region.
