KAI Engineering has expanded with the addition of two Mechanical Designers—Olga Kozlova and Michael Hunter—at its St. Louis headquarters.
“Our St. Louis Engineering team is really on the move, driven by industry leading projects across the country, mixed with impactful local and regional community buildings,” said KAI Managing Partner Brad Simmons, FAIA. “Olga and Mike have already proven to be a tremendous fit for our broad range of work across multiple markets. They each offer solid engineering expertise coupled with creative design—and the ability to productively collaborate with architecture teams to drive the best solutions. Even better, Olga and Mike are a terrific cultural fit with our practice—a real homerun for KAI.”
Olga Kozlova – Senior Mechanical Designer
In her new role, Kozlova will perform mechanical and plumbing design for KAI clients nationwide. Her impressive resume includes nine years of experience focused on a variety of building types, including warehouse core and shell, warehouse tenant infill, multi-family apartment buildings, office remodels, retail and restaurants.
Prior to KAI, she worked three years as a Mechanical Designer for Solutions AEC and five years as a Mechanical Designer for ArcVision, Inc., both in St. Louis.
Originally from Kharkov, Ukraine, Kozlova came to the U.S. where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Interior Design from Saint Louis Community College at Meramec.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her two-year-old son Xander, cross stitching, traveling and exploring.
Michael Hunter – Mechanical Designer
Hunter has an accumulated 20 years of industry experience, with mechanical and plumbing system design expertise focused on healthcare, education, military and recreational facilities. At KAI, he is responsible for design, development, implementation and analysis of design, and project management of engineering systems.
Prior to KAI, Hunter worked as a Mechanical Designer for Solutions AEC for six years and Horner & Shifrin for eight years, both in St. Louis, and Lester & Buehler of Columbia, Illinois for six years. He has an Associates Degree from Vatterott College.
In his spare time, Hunter enjoys visiting with his two daughters and granddaughter, camping, hunting and hiking.
