KAI, a leading architecture, engineering, and construction firm, is excited to announce the hiring of Balaji Srinivasan, PE as Senior Electrical Engineer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) at its Dallas-Fort Worth, TX office.
In his role as Senior Electrical Engineer, Srinivasan oversees electrical quality assurance and control for all projects. He provides technical guidance to design teams and advises on project priorities, processes and technical issues.
Srinivasan joins KAI with over 29 years of electrical engineering experience, previously serving as a Principal at Enterprise Engineering Services in Plano, TX. Srinivasan’s extensive expertise includes surveying existing conditions, creating demolition drawings (lighting/receptacle, and electrical room layouts), performing calculations, developing power drawings, single line and riser diagrams, and utilizing software like CAPTOR and DAPPER to conduct short circuit and coordination studies. He has worked on numerous new construction and renovation commercial projects throughout his career.

Some of Srinivasan’s notable projects include the 50,000 SF upgrade of the kitchen and patient areas at the Hines VA Hospital in Chicago, IL, the 200,000 SF new construction of a Recreation/Exercise Facility Center in Chicago, IL, the 50,000 SF upgrade of administrative areas at Fort Hood in Killeen, TX, and the addition of standby generators for Grainger in Chicago, IL.
Srinivasan holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, and has been a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas since 2002. He is married with two sons and speaks Kannada in addition to English. In his spare time, he enjoys watching Star Trek movies.
